Coos History Museum & Maritime Collection

Donor Naming Opportunities

The new Coos History Museum & Maritime Collection (CHM&MC) will open on the Coos Bay waterfront alongside Oregon’s spectacular coast highway in the early winter of 2014! The new facility will be a hub for public and private events, and an engine for economic development. As a museum, we will be able to better preserve our history and tell the South Coast story.

But there is much more to do. We must finish and furnish the inside of the building, create exhibits, and establish an endowment to operate the facility for decades to come.

Please consider a financial donation to help bring this important mission to life. The following pages describe a number of ways that the Coos County Historical Society will honor donors of all levels.  Contact our Executive Director, Frank Smoot, at fsmoot@cooshistory.org or 541-756-6320 to have a conversation.

All contributions or pledges must be received soon in order to be recognized on our Founders Donor Board. The historical society is a tax deductible 501(c)3 non-profit (tax ID # 93-0446513).

Thank you for helping to create this wonderful center for our South Coast residents and community guests!
