Our mission is to enhance the intellectual, civic, and cultural life of Oregon’s South Coast by facilitating awareness of local history. Our special emphasis is on the important impact which the ocean, bays, rivers, and sloughs have had on the people who have lived on the South Coast.
We do this by:
- Preserving and facilitating access to artifacts, images, and information that illuminate local history.
- Developing school programs that foster appreciation of our heritage.
- Providing community programs and activities that encourage widespread understanding of our county and region.
Please see other pages of this website for a description of research services, educational programs, and museum store.
