Join Executive Director, Marcia Hart for our 130th Anniversary Celebration including the Virtual 2021 Coos County Annual Awards Ceremony to be followed by a panel discussion about the Coos Bay Waterfront and Front Street Improvements.
Every year, the CCHS awards the Nathan Douthit Historian Award to an individual who has made significant contributions to the preservation of history in our area; The Martha Butler Service Award to an individual or individuals who have provided exceptional service to the Coos County Historical Society or Museum; and The Mary Banks Granger Maritime History Award to an individual or individuals who have provided exceptional assistance or service to the Coos County Historical Society or Museum. Due to COVID restrictions, this year’s ceremony is pre-recorded.
Following our “Virtual” Awards Ceremony, join Executive Director, Marcia Hart for a panel discussion about the Waterfront and Front Street development with Greg Drobot – Rock Face LLC (Coos Bay Village), Heidi Sause – 999 N Front Street and Rodger Craddock – the City of Coos Bay. Learn about ongoing city and development projects along the Waterfront Heritage District and the Museum’s progress regarding the development of its grounds including the front entrance, plaza, boardwalk, and kayak launch.
