This year the Coos County Historical Society is celebrating its 130th Anniversary!

Help us kickoff our annual fundraiser and celebration by participating in our social media contests for prizes.

Every Tuesday at 6:00 PM visit our Facebook or Instagram for History Trivia Tuesday (Oct 12, Oct 19, Oct 26, and Nov 2).

Every Thursday at 6:00 PM visit our Facebook or Instagram for Photo Recreation Throwback Thursday (Oct 14, Oct 21, Oct 28, and Nov 4).

Trivia Tuesday rules:
1. Check out the three photos for each themed week
2. Comment on the CHM posts with your answer for each photo and tag Coos History Museum with the hashtag: #CoosHistory130
3. That’s it! You are in to win. Watch our stories to see who was the first to get all three answers correct

Throwback Thursday rules:
1. Your photos must be black and white
2. Post on your page and tag Coos History Museum with the hashtag: #CoosHistory130
3. That’s it! You are in to win. Watch our stories for voting opportunities and winner announcements

You will have one week to post your trivia answers and/or photo recreations and all winners will be announced on Facebook and Instagram. Prizes will be available at the Coos History Museum front desk for the winners for each contest every week.

Bonus Prize: Even if you do not win one of the weekly prizes, you will still be eligible for our larger bonus prize for each contest worth $50! For Trivia Tuesdays, whoever gets the most correct answers during the 4 week contest will win the bonus prize or be entered into a drawing for the prize if there is more than one contestant. For Throwback Thursdays, whoever posts the most photo recreations during the 4 week contest will win the bonus prize or be entered into a drawing for the prize if there is more than one contestant.
