South Coast Tales of the Sea by Steven Greif – Historian and Coos History Museum volunteer

Steven Greif will host an online slide presentation about some South Coast sea-related history. Using dozens of photos from the Museum’s collection, Greif will illustrate the short-lived local whaling and pilchard fishing industries, tell stories about famous shipwrecks, and recall when “pirates” roamed the Bay Area. This free presentation is an updated version of one of Greif’s annual winter-term history classes at the Coos History Museum.
