Juneteenth Celebration

Experience: Visit the Coos History Museum for free throughout the day anytime during our open hours. Visitors and community members can view the new EJI Historical Marker for Alonzo Tucker outside the front of the museum and learn about the Community Soil Collection Project completed in February 2020 in our exhibit hall.

The first 200 guests will also receive a free Juneteenth Celebration take-home kit and tote. There will be live music performed by Allison Scull and Victor Martin from 12:00-2:00. And, there will be a chance to view the Special Edition Tuesday Talk: Juneteenth, participate in the Juneteenth Community Word Cloud, and other opportunities for commemorative and community activities.

So, join us along with your family, friends, and community members for a free day at the museum to see the Historical Marker for Alonzo Tucker and join in our Juneteenth Celebration.
