The Coos History Museum and Juneteenth Committee will host our 2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration on June 18th and 19th, 2022. As part of our mission to provide education and foster community participation in CHM events and programs, this year the museum is sponsoring a youth writing competition to commemorate Juneteenth, which is now both a state and national holiday.
Whether you are interested in participating in the Juneteenth Writing Competition, you’ve already started writing, or even if you have already submitted, please consider joining us for a free workshop. This workshop will be hosted by Annis Cassells who will be available to help all writers work on their pieces, answer questions, and provide tips and advice.
