Coos History Museum board member, volunteer, and local historian Steve Greif will once again be teaching his local history class, wait for it…virtually!
“Lives of Our Days” will take place Monday evenings at 6:30 PM over Zoom from January 4th – March 1st for a total of 9 classes. In addition, a free 10th class on March 8th will be exclusively available to current CHM members*.
This year’s local history class will focus on not-so-famous people who once lived on Oregon’s South Coast. Their “ordinary” lives present a glimpse into the past of our local communities to give us fun examples of how times have changed. Greif will present a narrated slide show about a different highlighted individual or family each session. Each show will also begin with a short biography contest called “The Fame Name Game” where a more “famous” local historical person will be described and class members will compete for prizes.
To register for this class, please reserve and purchase a ticket to the left, at which time you will receive a confirmation email. Each Sunday, beginning January 3rd, you will receive a unique link for access to the following Monday night’s class.
Space is limited, so sign up early! Only 100 computers/devices can be logged into the meeting at a time: 1 “space” = 1 device. If you or your household will be utilizing more than one device, you will need to purchase additional “spaces”. We also ask that you please do not share the zoom links with others who have not paid for this class.
*You must register for and purchase the original class (9 sessions) and be a current member of the Coos History Museum to participate in the additional free 10th class.
