Join the Coos History Museum and local historian and volunteer, Steve Greif as he speaks to our theme this year with a presentation titled, “Beyond the Oregon Trail-In and Out of Coos County: A short history of local transportation” on Tuesday, September 20th at 6:30 PM.
Learn about how the Oregon Trail may get you to Oregon, but not quite to Coos County. Through a PowerPoint presentation, with an array of photos from the museum’s collection, Steve will illustrate four different way to travel between Coos Bay and Portland a century ago. This interactive presentation will allow for audience participation, prizes to be awarded along the way, and an ask for donation pledges throughout the talk to help support the Coos History Museum.
This program is $7.00 per person, $5.00 for members and/or those joining online, and registration and payment can be completed on this page.
