Cedar and Sweet Grass Weaving Class

NEW DATE AND TIME!

Learn about local plants and their traditional uses along with Oregon Native American cultural history. In this class, We will use traditional weaving techniques and materials. Western red cedar and coast sweet grass sedge will be used to make a set of four each of place-mats and coasters.

This class will be taught be Stephanie Craig, who is the owner of Kalapuya Weaving.  She teaches classes to public and private venues, works with non-tribal and tribal museums on artifact conservation, producing museum quality basketry replicas and teaches cultural education.

Cost for this class will be $90. Preregistration can be done over the phone or in person at the museum.
