Fishes and Dishes
This cookbook features 80 recipes from the women who have tackled a male dominated industry and come out on top. The contributors to this culinary treat have worked every job in the industry-as captains, as cooks recipes from nearly every northern fishery, including the Bering Sea King crab grounds made famous by the hit series Deadliest Catch are included such as such as Seafood and Sausage Gumbo and Smoked Salmon and Egg Salad Sandwiches. This book also includes some of the ladies more harrowing adventures and anecdotes as well as tips for cleaning, preserving, and preparing fish; how to pair wine with seafood; a glossary of commercial fishing terms; an explanation of fishing methods; on-board fashion tips; and information about sustainability.
