From Hill to Mill DVD
Have you ever wondered what the logging industry was like back in it's heyday? Originally a silent film shot in 1939 by Coquille dentist Dr Bunch, this DVD shows the Laird family mill in it's prime. From felling to hauling to processing this film shows it all in vintage style. Narrated by Murl Larid, listen in as he describes his grandfather'slegacy as giant logs swing across the Oregon woods along zip lines, and marvel at how these majestic trees dwarf the log trucks that hauled them. This timeless classic will take you back to Coos County's prime logging days.
