Hall Prairie Arago
Arago, Oregon is a fairly small community six miles south of Coquille. It may be small in size but it is rich in history. Its' history has been well and thoroughly complied in local author Darrell Gulstrom's book Del-wat-me Hall Prairie Arago. Did you know there used to be a horse racing track in Arago? Or that in 1981 the Coos County fire department burnt down the Arago School as a training exercise? Or that 'Del-wat-me' means people of the open prarie? These facts and more can all be found in Darrell's newest publication Del-Wat-Me Hall Prairie Arago.
