Poster, colorful COOS BAY
This travel poster is a recreation of an art print that was made for a "Name Coos Bay Buildings" contest that was held in the summer of 1993. The Worldlink published an article about the contest showcasing 34 buildings. A few of the buildings have since been demolished.
A few of the buildings still present include:
1 - Cape Arago Lighthouse
2 - Marshfield High School
34 - Tioga Hotel
The first place winner received a mini-vacation at the Inn at Face Rock in Bandon, Oregon compliments of the Coos Bay Downtown Association.
Second place winner received a numbered artist's proof of "Colorful Coos Bay" signed by artist Susan Anderson. The contest was sponsored by South Coast Printing, the CBDA and The World.
